Wowa's Home Bakery

Creating brand identity systems & strategies to connect a family bakery with online customers

ROLE: Creative Director & Cofounder

Wowa’s Home Bakery is a family-owned & operated business with a mission to deliver high-quality homemade baked goods. Conceived at the heights of the COVID-19 pandemic in the summer of 2020, our team faced the unique challenge of developing strategies that prioritized safety without sacrificing quality.

I wanted to create a look that lent itself to our mission to “breathe new life into the recipes of our childhood….with love from our family to yours.” The food we produce is distinctively enjoyable because of the history behind it. It’s reminiscent of home without being boring. Wowa’s builds on inspiration from the past to bring present-day experiences that will be passed on in the future.

These were the values that shaped Wowa’s voice:

We treat our customers like family. Reliable communication; High attention to detail; Personal & fun; Health + safety forward

We use recipes with personal significance. Strong brand recognition (reminds customers of stories & people behind the food); Differentiates us from competition

We use sustainable packaging. High quality and premium; Easy to package, transport, and store

BRAND ELEMENTS

APPLICATIONS

Color is used liberally to draw the audience in. Text-heavy content is broken up into separate posts. Unlike other F&B brands, the Wowa’s team is transparent about individual contributions and is quick to highlight what each team member’s personality and background bring to the table – literally.

Product photography puts emphasis on natural light, balance, and the incorporation of familiar textures & elements that can be found in most Philippine kitchens and dining areas.

Instagram stories play a crucial role in communicating with customers.
